6歳の娘は聞いた
ちょっと考えて、答えた
「人を殺さないっていう、約束だよ」
「あ、そう」
(そんなカンタンなことなの)
という答えだった
宿題をやる
部屋を片付ける
なかなかできない「約束」たち
でも「九条」は ボーっとしてても守れるよね
でもこんなカンタンな約束
大人たちはどうして守れないの?
"What is Article 9?"
My 6-year-old daughter asked
I thought for a while, then answered:
"It is a promise not to kill people."
"Oh yeah?"
My daugher's answer sounded like
It was such an easy promise
When there are so many hard promises to keep
like doing homework
like tidying up your room
You can just sit around doing nothing
And still keep Article 9
So why is it so hard for grown-ups
To keep such an easy promise?
