東京で８月１１日、日本の週刊誌『週刊金曜日』とオンライン英字ジャーナル『アジア太平洋ジャーナル：ジャパンフォーカス』合同で『The Untold History of the United States』（ドキュメンタリーと本、日本語版はNHK放映、早川書房出版の『もう一つのアメリカ史』）共作者、オリバー・ストーンとピーター・カズニックのインタビューを行った（聞き手は『金曜日』から成澤宗男、『ジャパンフォーカス』から乗松聡子）。週刊金曜日では９月６日の特集記事「オリバー・ストーン＆ピーター・カズニック　戦争と歴史を語る」として発表。英語版は９月２６日『アジア太平洋ジャーナル：ジャパンフォーカス』で発表した。その後米国のプログレッシブなオンラインメディア、『トゥルースアウト』、『ヒストリー・ニュース・ネットワーク』、『カウンターパンチ』に転載されて世界中に読まれている。英語版の記事は、オリバーの言葉からタイムリーなものを選び、「”米国は化学兵器をベトナムで使用した”－語られない歴史を語ることが世の中をよくする」とした。このインタビューはオリバー自身が「日本で行ったインタビューでベストのものの一つ。自身のフェースブックで「長編で、広範囲なトピックを扱い、内容は正確である」とコメントしている。以下、各掲載先のリンク。
